Another long evening of music, emotions and entertainment, the last one, has been broadcast Wednesday 12 June in prime time on Canale 5 with the final of I Canto Familythe show hosted by Michelle Hunziker which saw the winning couple of this edition crowned. At the beginning of the episode there were eight couples left in the competition who performed in duets and trios with their team leaders in front of the jury made up of Al Bano, Claudio Amendola, Fabio Rovazzi and Orietta Berti. But the final word for each phase of the competition was said by the public, surprising and, in some cases, overturning the verdict of the jurors.
The first to leave the race are Daniel and mother Giorgia and Grace and mother Giovanna. In the second round of performances Sofia and her father Cristina and Giulia and her mother Alessandra must stop. In the semi-final, however, Diletta and her father Marco and Marika with her father Alessandro are eliminated.
The final battle to win the 50 thousand euro prize saw Carlotta and mother Erika from Mietta’s team face off against Sara and father Davide from Anna Tatangelo’s team and in the end it was the couple formed by mother and daughter who triumphed, on the other hand, despite the reversals and changes in position of their opponents they remained firmly in the lead throughout the race. The pace of the evening was tighter than that of the previous ones and, until the final battle, more space was given to music than to emotions which however were not lacking, just as there was a moment of controversy in which one of the jurors.

Io Canto Family: the Top moments of the final
Let’s immediately give a Top, deserved to two winners: little Carlotta and her mother Erika, who won over the public and jury not only with their singing performances, but also with the sympathy and cheerfulness of the little girl and a particular story that moved everyone, given that Erika had her Carlotta at just 17 years old and the two grew up together .
Another top, dutiful, to the runners-up, i very good Sara and dad Davide. Two incredible voices, especially that of the father and a relationship of affection and complicity that reached the hearts of the public who decided, in contrast with the judges’ decision, to send them to the final, eliminating two couples who, at the moment, seemed more in the advantage .
Third top to one of these semi-finalist couples, the one formed by Marika and her father Alessandro. Also in this case, two splendid voices are accompanied by the touching story of the very young Marika, who struggles to express her emotions, and of her tender father who wants nothing more than a hug from her daughter. A hug that arrives while they sing a song, together with the tears in which the girl finally manages to dissolve so many emotions.
Let’s give a top also to judge Fabio Rovazzi which closes very well the experience as a juror who always saw him as objective, polite, respectful of the emotions of the protagonists on stage and obviously also very ironic. It was very much so tonight, when, at the end of the episode he also wanted to involve his mother, equally witty, who was in the audience following the show. Rovazzi asked the mother, in her opinion, if they had performed as a competing couple, mother-son, in that context, how much they would have obtained in terms of votes, and the mother, thinking about it carefully, stated that, at a guess, they would not have went beyond two. Now we understand from whom the singer got his irony.
Flop
The only moment of this final of I Canto Family that deserves a flop is the one he starred in Claudio Amendola with a vote for which it was also contested by the audience in the theater. At a certain point in the competition, Carlotta with her mother Erika and Sara with her father Davide perform and the juror decides to give a 10, everyone’s fixed vote to mother and daughter for the whole evening, to Carlotta and Erika while reserving a sensational and truly ungenerous 6 to Sara and Davide. The public does not appreciate the vote at all and, in fact, contests the vote, while Amendola says: “It’s not a vote, it’s a tactic”, but the public continues to make noise. So much so that, at the next vote, Amendola feels he has to explain himself by saying that he evaluates not only the performances, but the stories, the emotions, and in short, he has decided who he wants in the final and therefore acts accordingly. Later he is even more specific, speaking explicitly about the 50,000 euro prize, implying that he would be happy if a mother and daughter who have made many sacrifices so far get it. However, not everyone understands this attitude, neither in the studio nor on social media.
