Also to Campobasso the new mayor will be chosen at ballot. The official announcement arrived this morning with the completion of the checks by theCentral electoral office at Palazzo San Giorgio: in the capital of Molise the centre-right candidate will compete in the second round Aldo De Benedittis and the centre-left candidate Marialuisa Forte. The electoral office has, in fact, communicated i correct dataalso including i split votes that they had been until now omitted. In this way the candidate De Benedittis stops at 48.31%the victim of the disjointed vote: the lists in support of him have in fact exceeded 50% plus one of the consensus, the 53.02 to be precise. The municipality of Campobasso until today has been administered by 5 Star Movement.
The centre-left parties (Pd, M5s and Avs) are al 32.16%a figure substantially in line with the consensus for mayoral candidate Marialuisa Forte (31.89%). The third candidate, the civic candidate, benefited most from the split vote Pino Rutawhich obtains many more votes than the lists: the 19.79% against the 14.82%. The disjoint voting mechanism led to mistake the municipal structure in reporting the data on the platform Eligible. Now, however, the correction of the result is underway and Campobasso thus becomes the 13th capital (out of 29 voting) which goes to the run-off: in the first round, however, 10 municipalities (Bergamo, Cagliari, Cesena, Livorno, Modena, Pavia, Pesaro, Prato, Reggio Emilia And Sassari) were won by centre-left, while 5 (Ascoli, Biella, Ferrara, Forlì And Pescara) from the centre-right.
