There is great anticipation for the return of one of the most beloved Rai dramas of recent years: “God help us“, now in its eighth season, has recently started filming, and the production company has made numerous new features official. Which concern the location, no longer Assisi, but also the cast: to the disappointment of many fans, it will no longer be Pierpaolo Spollon the male protagonist alongside Francesca Chillemi.

Filming for the eighth season of “Che Dio ci helps” has officially started, as shown in a video published just last night by the official Instagram page of the drama: many new features, some of which will leave the most loyal fans stunned.
Many of whom, for example, did not like the fact that the screenwriters wanted to “stretch the plot” by introducing unexpected twists such as the vocation of Azzurra, the character played by Francesca Chillemi.
Like it or not, however, the eighth chapter of the fiction will transport us into a series of completely new adventures for the new nun, who after Elena Sofia Ricci’s farewell is in all respects the new protagonist of the series. Adventures that will take place in one location unpublished: instead of Assisi, as in previous seasons, the new season will be set in Romenot in a convent, but in a shelter for girls in difficulty.
This was announced by the director of Rai Fiction, Maria Pia Ammirati, who, together with the production company Lux Vide, also replaces Pierpaolo Spollon in the male lead role.

The most loyal fans will have to make peace with the idea that Emilianoplayed in recent seasons by Pierpaolo Spollon, will no longer return, at least as a regular character, within the fiction: “The character is now exhausted”, the actor himself commented, adding “It’s one thing if they ask me to make an appearance, but I won’t be among the protagonists”.
A great “mourning” for the cast, which loses one of the most beloved characters of the series, but there is no need to despair: alongside Francesca Chillemi a new one will arrive male protagonist, ready to make us dream with new stories. As made official by Lux Vide in an Instagram post, it is the actor Giovanni Scifoniwhose face is not new to us: the interpreter has already worked alongside Chillemi in the second season of “Viola come il Mare”, always in the role of co-protagonist.
