Rai Way is looking for people to hire for the qualification of Technician, even without a degree, to be included in Northern Italy. This is the division of the Public Service company that deals with infrastructure and network services for broadcasting. It guarantees the diffusion and transmission of television and radio content throughout Italy and abroad thanks to optical fibre, satellite networks, radio links and 2,300 towers.
Job offers
The required figures from Rai Way are:
- 1 technician for the Piedmont region;
- 4 technicians for the offices in Northern and Central Italy (in particular Lombardy, Liguria and Umbria).
In addition to the 5 people hired, the next 10 in the ranking could be called for other open positions in the future. The research is aimed at both sexes and people of all ages.
Qualifications and skills
Candidates must possess the following requirements:
- five-year diploma obtained from a Technical Institute – Technology sector, IT and telecommunications, electronics and electrical engineering – or Professional Institute – Industry and crafts sector, Maintenance and technical assistance – or equivalent qualification;
- Driving licence category B;
- theoretical knowledge of the principles of electronic communication, analogue in radio frequency and digital, and measurement in the electrical and radioelectric field;
- knowledge of the main elements of computer science;
- theoretical knowledge of the operating principle of measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum and network analyzers;
- use and understanding of electrical and electronic diagrams, drawings and circuits;
- technical knowledge of modulation, amplitude, frequency;
- knowledge of networks and IP protocol;
- knowledge of Ott TV, web and mobile multimedia platforms;
- excellent knowledge of the Windows operating system and its main applications, such as the Ms Office package;
- digital mindset and network intelligence skills;
- result orientation and operational problem solving;
- predisposition for team working;
- Availability to travel and work shifts.
What are the tasks
The Technician is responsible for planning, developing and managing the installation, operation and maintenance activities of the installations and of equipment. Provides introduction into the company new technologies and identify new business opportunities thanks to innovative products.
Specifically, the Technician deals with the electrical and electronic technical equipment for radio broadcasting and connection, data center systems and edge infrastructures for everything relating to:
- installation, testing and ordinary maintenance;
- fault diagnosis, repair and resolution;
- certification.
Contract and salary
The people hired will be included in the workforce with an employment contract Temporary with a basic input Ral equal to almost 26,800 eurosto which add the items provided for by the national collective agreement, such as overtime, increases and emoluments for travel.
For residents in different regions, a one-off amount of is also provided 5 thousand euros gross to cover travel and rental expenses. It will be included in the first useful payslip.
Calendar of selective tests
The selective process to work in Rai Way takes place remotely and it is necessary to have a computer with webcam and microphone. The evaluation tests I am:
- preselection with multiple choice written test remotely if there are more than 25 applications;
- technical interview;
- cognitive and motivational interview.

- Phase I (pre-selection test): 26 June 2024;
- Phase II (interviews): between 27 June and 8 July 2024.
Score and ranking
The two interviews take place at the same time. The first serves to delve deeper into the knowledge and the skills, with evaluation of the CV, which must be presented in standard European format. The second serves to deepen his reasons And expectations.
For each interview it is possible to receive a maximum score of 50 and you enter the final ranking with a minimum score of 30/50 for each test and a total of 60/100 points. In case of ex aequo, the youngest candidate has priority.
