Sparks between Tommaso Cerno and Ginevra Bompiani during the June 3 episode of L’Aria che Tira, a La7 talk show with David Parenzo hosting. The philosopher and candidate for the European Parliament with ‘Peace, Land, Dignity’ takes the floor on investigations concerning politics: “Events happen in Italy like that of Giovanni Toti, that of Daniela Santanchè, in which people who hold a position very important they commit crimes.” Parenzo immediately corrects her: “They are accused of having committed crimes, we must be guarantees.” Bompiani, however, makes it clear, between the lines, how she thinks that Toti is already guilty, given what has been read in recent weeks: “They are accused, however… Seriously accused. Let’s say that Toti… In the case of Santanchè and Toti the elements are such…”.

While the debate continues, the director of Il Tempo intervenes and goes into a rage over Bompiani’s outburst: “I hear the clinking of handcuffs on the left, which gives me goosebumps. For the moment, Toti’s investigation seems more and more like a farce, now we’re going to condemn Toti directly, who hasn’t even been sent to trial yet, that is, he doesn’t even have an indictment. Just an aberrant thing. This is a way of going against the Head of State, the Constitution, the separation of powers, this electoral use of the Republic, other than saying that Europe was a little too excessive in its national celebration. But please…”.
