Mara Venier closed today, Sunday 2 June, the fourteenth edition of Sunday In. Today’s episode was full of guests including Valeria Golino, Christian De Sica, Gigi D’Alessio and Roby Facchinetti. Furthermore, Cristiano Malgioglio, a great friend of the Venetian presenter, also intervened and gave her several surprises. The entire audience in the studio and at home, however, was waiting for Mara’s greetings which she can’t wait to see again in September.

Greetings from Mara Venier

At the end of the episode Sunday In, the authors brought a cake with the number 500 to the center of the studio because, today, the five hundredth episode of the afternoon show was broadcast. After blowing out the candles, Mara Venier he started reading all the names of his authors, costume designers, make-up artists and so on and so forth. «I just have to thank you because without you all this wouldn’t be possible».

The presenter then also thanked her husband Nicola Carraro to whom she blew a kiss and, turning to him, she was moved. He simply said: «Thank you Nicola».

The appointment in September

In the past over and over again, Mara Venier he had stated that he did not know whether or not this year’s edition would be the last edition of Sunday In conducted by her. For months there has been talk of the presenter’s possible successors, first of all Alberto Matano, her colleague and also a friend of hers. Evidently, however, the presenter still has a lot to give to her trusted audience and, at the end of the episode, she said: “See you in September!”. Behind her, on her LED, the writing: «500 episodes and more…».
