«You stop honest people. And not thieves.” For Valerio Staffelli and the crew of The news spreads another odyssey in the Milan subways. And the historic correspondent of the Canale 5 satirical news program founded and directed by Antonio Ricci this time loses his temper not with the pickpockets, but with the security guards of the Central Station.

On the trail of the dozens of quick-handed young ladies, ready to target commuters, passengers and tourists on public transport, Staffelli he unleashes one of his collaborators with a hidden camera. Having arrived at the entrance gates to the station platforms, the girl is stopped by security. They check her ticket, inquire about the route and, faced with protests from the Striscia staff member (incognito), seize the regularly displayed travel document. “There’s nothing to discuss, we also stop people in suits and ties,” an employee explains to her.

In the meantime, however, a pickpocket enters through the exit turnstiles as if it were nothing, undisturbed. Staffelli then intervenes: «Why did you stop the girl with the travel document? You can’t hold her back, you made her miss a train.” «Mr Staffelli stay calm – the employee replies -, we’ll throw them out, not you. She just does shows.” “The checks should be carried out on everyone – the correspondent then explains to the viewers – not just on our crew when they come in to witness what happens in these structures”.

Moving towards the subway, in fact, here are the usual scenes: the petty thieves who get around without problems (and without a ticket) hunting for the next victims. Staffelli walks behind a lady and alerts those around them: «Attention, be careful, pickpockets, pickpockets!». And off to another (bad) adventure.
