A Real Man (from Thursday 2 May on Netflix)

After the great success of The Newsroomthe Emmy won for Godless it’s the last one American Rust, Jeff Daniels returns. The American actor is the protagonist of A Man in Full, based on the novel of the same name by Tom Wolfe and signed by David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies And The Undoing, just to mention two recent successes). Daniels plays Charlie Crooker, Atlanta real estate mogul struggling with an unexpected collapse. Hated by many, Crooker will find himself having to fight to defend the empire he created. In the cast of A Real Man There are also Diane Lane (House of Cards) and Lucy Liu (Elementary). The series will be available on Netflix from Thursday 2 May.

Shardlake (from mWednesday May 1st on Disney+)

Mysteries, suspense and subterfuge at the Tudor court. Based on the novels by CJ Sansom, Shardlake (four episodes) is a mystery set in 16th century England, in the period of the suppression of the monasteries. The protagonist is commissioned by Cromwell to investigate the murder of one of his men in a monastery in the town of Scarnsea. On the opposite front, the monks who will try in every way to save their order. Starring Arthur Hughes, Sean Bean (game of Thrones) and Anthony Boyle. The series was written by Stephen Butchard (The Good Mothers).
