“I I already won to be here, to be alive and also because I had the honor of meeting you Amadeus, because I am a huge fan, really!”. The words of Valentina, the competitor from Puglia who was the protagonist of the episode of Your business Of Wednesday 24 April, before the last shot, say a lot about a two-sided game in which, as often happens, the package player also told her emotions and above all a complicated life path, finally overcome. And never mind if at the end of the episode a bitter disappointment came for her that made her return home empty-handed.
Affari Tuoi, Valentina and Gianluigi: from a wonderful match to bitter disappointment
Valentina is employed at Bari airportand play together with husband Gianluigi. The first shot is unlucky, the 200 thousand euros fly away but then comes a record-breaking sequence: in five shots the husband and wife take out five blue packages, unleashing the enthusiasm of Amadeus: “But what kind of match is this? This is a perfect match, wonderful! Well done, well done, well done!” A very heavy offer arrives from the Doctor, of 48 thousand euros, truly substantial. The public is divided, there are those who shout in the studio: “refuse!” and those who instead shout: “Accept and run!”
Faced with so much money, Valentina reflects, but she already has a clear idea of what she will do, and she explains it well herself: “The call to Affari Tuoi came after a very delicate moment in my life. We went through three disastrous years, I faced one illness, three surgeries, we have lost loved ones. When they called me to tell me that I had been chosen, I thought: something beautiful can still happen. I’ve always been used to seeing the glass half full. I think that even in the worst situation there is a way out. Now that I’m here, I want to playthank you for the wonderful offer but I’ll move on.”
In the next series of shots, the 100 thousand euros fly away, but then another series of blue packages arrives. The Doctor offers the package exchange and the competitors accept. They then leave package number 7 and take number 5. They open immediately the package they gave away and unfortunately they find us precisely the 300 thousand euros. Valentina’s expression, which remains speechless, says it all. There are still 50,000 and 75,000 to defend, but the life-changing packages are certainly gone. She comments: “It’s okay, we tried, come on. It’s a vanished dream but there are still many good figures, that’s fine.”
The Doctor’s offer at that point collapses to 19 thousand euros and Valentina refuses and moves on. Package 9 from Campania, chosen shortly after, unfortunately contains 75 thousand euros, Valentina does not give up: “There are still 20,30 and 50 thousand euros, go!”. Another shot, another red package: 20 thousand euros. Then the 30 thousand also fly away. There remain 100 euros and 5 thousand and 50 thousand euros. The doctor offers to exchange the package and again Valentina accepts, she leaves the 5th and takes the 17th. And she explains it like this: “The 17th is the day I was diagnosed with canceris the day when we lost my grandmother and her sister. And we want to bring both with us in this moment.”
Valentina wants to open the package she left, Amadeus comments: “If for the second time the Doctor wanted to deceive them, I’ve never entered the doctor’s room, I swear I’ll go in tonight!“
One shot from the end, on one side there are 50 thousand and on the other €100, which are right in package number 17. Husband and wife are disappointed, but she finds the strength to still feel grateful for having had a good experience.
