This year too, as per tradition, the May 4th unleash the Force across the world with it Star Wars Day 2024a galactic event dedicated to fans of Star Wars. And the date is not coincidental. It all started from a play on words that combined the famous phrase “May the Force be with you” with the day of May 4th, creating the assonant and iconic “May the fourth be with you” (“May the 4th of May be with you”). A joking homage that, apparently, was coined for the first time in 1979 by London Evening News to wish good luck to Margaret Thatcher, the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. After that, he soon became a truly global phenomenonincluding themed events, special screenings, film marathons and much more.

Finally, on the occasion of 47th anniversary of the release of the first film by Star Wars at the cinema, the Legion 501one of the largest cosplay groups in the world dedicated to the saga, will organize an epic parade that will wind through the streets of central Milan. From 10:00 to 13:00 on May 25thfans will be able to admire a real army of Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia and many other characters who will march between via Dante and Piazza San Babila.
