We interviewed exclusively Nicholas Borgognithe dancer eliminated during the second episode of Evening Amici 23. Nicholas was one of the most loved and talked about students of the last edition of talent show by Maria De Filippi. His long and intense experience, in fact, was not the easiest given the criticism received and the difficulties encountered. He, however, never gave up and with grit and determination he went straight towards his goal. Entered the school strongly desired by Raimondo Todaroreaches the final phase of the transmission thanks to Emanuel Lo who, to everyone’s surprise, decides to enlist him in his team.

Here’s what he revealed Nicholas Borgogni to the microphones of Comingsoon.it: from the unforgettable experience in the school of Friendswhich enriched and formed him so much, al support of the professional dancer Elena D’Amarioup to a great one dreamgo back to dancing one day on the stage of the talent show like professional.

You were one of the undisputed protagonists of Amici 23. What was the experience like?

One of my focuses has always been to join Amici so participating was a great satisfaction. It was an unforgettable experience, a fortune that few have the chance to experience. It was a whirlwind of emotions, of sensations of joy. There were also difficult days, but in the end it was an incredible journey.

You entered at the behest of Raimondo Todaro, who has always supported and defended you from the criticisms of the teacher Alessandra Celentano, with whom you have confronted several times during your journey…

I joined Amici and almost made it to Evening thanks to him so I’m grateful for everything he did for me, what he said and how he defended me. I didn’t expect what happened later but I thank him for everything he did before. The teacher never held back, her criticisms were harsh but a great source of personal and professional growth. I tried to understand her and learned to accept her criticisms. Thanks to the work she gave me to do, to all the tasks she assigned me, I grew a lot. It was a difficult relationship to manage, but at the same time she encouraged me to always do better. I wanted to prove to her that I could do it, I think and hope I proved it. I still have a lot to do, but I have laid some important foundations.

You’ve always faced everything with great determination, but was there a moment when you thought about actually giving up?

Honestly, there were several episodes in which I thought that maybe this wasn’t the right place for me. With a cool head, thinking about it, I thought that I absolutely couldn’t give up and waste such an opportunity. I started working with my head down.

You have always had professional dancers on your side, especially Elena D’Amario…

The professionals with me really did an incredible job. We worked really hard in the room. Their support made me understand that, in the end, I wasn’t doing everything wrong, in fact I was doing something good. They all gave me a hand, Elena was fundamental for me. She was a personal and artistic guide. She and Francesco Porcelluzzi are the ones who helped me the most, I really owe them a lot. Dancing with her was beautiful, we have a beautiful complicity and a good connection.

What was the most significant moment of your journey?

The elimination seems strange but that’s how it is (laughs ed.). The evening was a new mix for me, I felt better and more confident on stage. Everything that came afterwards, from the exit to Maria’s words, was very important for me. I didn’t expect to be eliminated in the second episode, except when I saw that I went to the final ballot. I didn’t expect it because I had seriously started to believe it. That’s how it went and I’m happy anyway. I have no regrets. I did everything as I wanted, I gave my all. I would do everything the same again, I wouldn’t change anything.

Did you expect Emanuel Lo to decide to enlist you in his team?

He came to pick me up and gave me the opportunity to go to the Evening. Mine wasn’t a request, but I wanted support from my professor who was there for six months and then passed away afterwards. Emanuel Lo gave me more motivation to stay. I thank him for this.

Who will win Amici?

I think Petit will win it and if that were the case I would be happy because he is a guy who deserves it, he works very hard. He is a good, genuine boy. I don’t know about the dance, they’re all strong. In terms of singing, in my opinion, it was one of the strongest classes of recent years. I am attached to everyone and I love everyone very much. Some very solid relationships were born in the little house. Outside I see Mew, Matthew, Holy and Giovanni.

Future projects and secret dreams?

For the moment I’m back to studying, little by little proposals will arrive and I’ll try to understand how to proceed. I would certainly like to make a living from this, whether in Italy or abroad. I wouldn’t mind returning to Amici as a professional one day, I would feel at home. Maybe it will happen, maybe not, but I hope so. I left my heart there. Never say never. A dream? I would love to dance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, that would be a great achievement.
