The revolution continues at Mediaset: the changes implemented by Pier Silvio are still underway and destined to involve some faces of the network.
With a few weeks left before the end of the TV season, the leaders of the various networks are about to make important decisions regarding next year’s schedule. And if in Rai there are rumors of a possible Amadeus’ farewell, an event considered sensational like that of Fabio Fazio last year, the situation at Mediaset appears more precarious.
The changes implemented by Pier Silvio Berlusconi last year have given the network a different image, but above all they have sacrificed some TV faces.
In June 2023 Pier Silvio Berlusconi replaced Barbara D’Urso to Afternoon 5 with Myrta Merlino earlier than expected. The Neapolitan presenter herself expected to remain at the helm of the format at least until the end of December, when her contract expired. According to what has been rumored in recent hours, the CEO of Mediaset would be ready to make further changes and give the right to other people who have been active in the private network for a few years. The rumors claim that there would be conflicts between the hosts and the management, but also between the hosts themselves.
A not exactly relaxed climate which is creating a series of inconveniences both for those who work in front of the cameras and for the numerous staff present behind the scenes. Among the listed names that may not attend in the TV schedule for the next television season that of Michelle Hunziker. The Swiss presenter after the flop of Michelle Impossible she could be benched by Pier Silvio Berlusconi himself. Furthermore, according to what Gabriele Parpiglia reported, Hunziker wouldn’t be so affable with the cameras off: “He appears with many smiles but behind it there is a strong lack of respect towards even simple relationships“.
Mediaset, conflicts between presenters, journalists and managers
The earthquake at Mediaset would also have involved Federica Panicucci and colleague Francesco Vecchi.
