After the publication of the notice for the selection of councilors with parliamentary competence, here is the first hypothesis on the reorganization of the top management of Viale Mazzini

Simona Agnes president, Giampaolo Rossi CEO and Roberto Sergio general manager. It is the hypothesis of an agreement around which, Ansa wrote, citing majority parliamentary sources, work is beginning for the renewal of Rai’s top management.
Agnes, member of the outgoing board, daughter of the historic general director Biagio, would become president in place of Marinella Soldi – an appointment that must have the approval of two thirds of the Supervisory Commission, therefore also of part of the opposition – while the announced relay between Sergio and Rossi on the CEO seat could make room for an exchange of boxes, with the current CEO ready to take on the role of general manager.

Gears in motion

Meanwhile, the mechanism for renewing the governance of the public service has been set in motion. The notice for the selection of the four members with parliamentary competence was published on the Chamber and Senate websites on Thursday 21 March. Considering that thirty days are needed for the presentation of CVs and thirty for their examination, voting could take place in the last ten days of May, before the break in preparation for the vote for the EU Parliament.

The Rai board of directors is made up of seven members: two are elected by the Chamber and two by the Senate. Two others are indicated by the Ministry of Economy, one of whom then holds the position of managing director and the other, at least based on practice, of president, after having obtained the approval of two thirds of the Supervisory Commission. The seventh member is elected by the employees and the Rai board of directors has recently approved the regulation for his appointment.
