The fatal road accident occurred yesterday evening in the hilly area of Naples: the 36-year-old’s body was made available to the Judicial Authority.
Tragic road accident, unfortunately revealed to be fatal, in Naples: yesterday evening, Sunday 30 June, a 36 year old man – whose identity has not yet been disclosed – died following the impact between his scooter and a car. Around 9.45pm, the victim was riding his Piaggio Cruiser scooter in via Sant’Ignazio di Loyola, in the Hospital Areahilly area of Naples when, for reasons that are still being investigated, the two-wheeled vehicle impacted head-on with a car, a Range Rover, driven by a 21-year-old, who immediately stopped to alert the emergency services.
The 118 health workers intervened on site and were unable to do anything other than confirm the death of the 36-year-old. Officers from the Road Accident Operational Unit of the Local Police of Naples also arrived at the scene of the accident and carried out all the necessary findings to precisely determine the dynamics of what happened. The driver of the car was subjected to toxicological tests to check for the presence of alcohol or drugs in his blood at the time of the accident, while the 36-year-old’s body was made available to the Judicial Authority; most likely, as per practice in these cases, an autopsy will be performed. The two vehicles involved were seized.
