Rome, 29 June (askanews) – Max Verstappen relentless. The Dutch world champion won the Sprint of the Austrian GP. The Dutchman from Red Bull dominated ahead of the McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, with whom he started a great duel, overtaking him after being passed in the opening laps. The Dutchman managed to finish the 23 laps of the short race with a comfortable margin of 4″6 over Piastri, who was lethal in taking advantage of the door left open by his teammate Lando Norris, unleashed in attacking Verstappen. The key moment came on the fifth lap, when Lando attacked and passed Max, who however crossed the trajectory and with the DRS took back the lead in the following braking point. And right there Norris was caught off guard: overtaken by Max, he was unable to close the door where his Australian teammate also slipped in. Another bitter pill for Lando. Fourth place for George Russell’s Mercedes and fifth for Carlos Sainz Jr.’s Ferrari. Sixth Lewis Hamilton, seventh Charles Leclerc with the second red, then Sergio Perez with the second Red Bull. At 4 pm the fight for pole for the GP that will be held on Sunday.
