Genoa, Bolle plays with fire in ‘Prometheus’ rehearsals

Roberto Bolle likes to play with fire and his new “game” that will give us emotions and a bit of suspense is “Prometheus”, the unreleased piece that the Étoile in these images is rehearsing the night before his debut in the summer theater tour of the Gala “Roberto Bolle and Friends”. The solo – created thanks to the collaboration of the namesake Prometeon Tyre Group – was conceived and created by Bolle himself with the choreographer Massimiliano Volpini and stages the myth of the Titan Prometheus, who stole fire from the gods to give it as a gift to men: an unthinkable, arduous, impervious challenge that will cost him his life, but which for humanity means progress, knowledge, future. The feat here is represented by a set made of tubes on which the dancer climbs, twists, sinuous and strong, until he reaches the real fire, which he steals from the gods to share with men. A piece of great impact and suggestion, which the Genoese public will witness first. The summer tour – already almost sold out – starts from the Parchi di Nervi in Genoa on June 28th to continue with Ravello at the Teatro Auditorium Oscar Niemeyer on June 30th, the Teatro di Tharros (OR) on July 12th, the Teatro Greco in Syracuse on July 14th, Torre del Lago (Gran Teatro all’Aperto Giacomo Puccini) on July 17th, the Terme di Caracalla in Rome on July 19th and 20th and finally the two now usual dates at the Arena di Verona on July 23rd and 24th.
