The FP1 of the 2024 Dutch GP ended with the best time recorded by Francesco Bagnaia in 1:32.401 in front of Marc Márquez e Raul FernandezThe first session of the Assen weekend was used to take the measurements of what is “the Cathedral” of motorcycling. They will be fundamental Tests at 15:00 Italian time to see who will land directly in Q2 and who will have to start from Q1 instead.

Assen is a track in good condition, despite the sudden drop in temperature of both the asphalt and the air compared to Thursday. However, the track conditions were excellent and should remain ESTABLISH all weekend. On the microphones of SkySport MotoGP, Piero Taramasso explained how Michelin brought a tire Hard at the front and a little harder than usual, while the Medium and the Soft are the same as 2023. As regards the rearthe solutions brought by Michelin are both the same as those of 2023with the Soft and the Medium which are a valid option for racing, depending on the feelings of each driver.
The fastest of the FP1 was Francesco Bagnaia in 1:32.401. The Italian driver achieved the best time halfway through the session, when the tires were still fresh. Behind his back Marc Márquezwith tires used since the start of the session, e Raul Fernandezwith new soft rear. Fourth place for Fabio Quartararofollowed by a Maverick Viñales e Alex Espargaro. Seventh place for Fabio DiGiannantonio who had set the first time on the last lap, but was removed due to track limits at the last chicane. Eighth place for Alex Marquezfollowed by Brad Binder e Jorge Martín. Further back the other Italians: Bezzecchi eleventh, Bastianini twelfth, Marini nineteenth and the tester Savadori twentythird.
