Paramount Pictures has released the final trailer for A Quiet Place – Day 1, the first spinoff of the saga created by John Krasinski, director and protagonist of the first two films together with Emily Blunt. Stars of the new prequel chapter are Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn, at the center of the events of the terrifying alien invasion.

The character by Lupita Nyong’o lives on the first day of the extraterrestrial threat on the planet, and the two actors, during the promotional tour, talked about how they faced a screenplay lacking in jokes, compared to the quantity of those expected in productions of this caliber.

“It was a very interesting situation to be in, where the dialogue was very effective and managed to convey a lot of the subtext. It was very communicative and urgent, because the only reason you would talk in an environment like this, dangerous if you make noise, it’s when it’s strictly necessary, it was up to us to fill those moments.” explained Joseph Quinn about the sparse script. The first reactions to A Quiet Place – Day 1 have already emerged online, defining it as the best film of the franchise.

Set in New York City, A Quiet Place – Day 1, tells the first hours of terror experienced by humans after having suffered the alien invasion which will then lead to what is told in the first two films, A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place II.
The cast of the prequel also includes Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou and Denis O’Hare. The final trailer adds some terrifying sequences; An ordinary New York day is turned upside down by the sudden arrival of alien creatures with ultrasound, capable of hunting humans thanks to their powerful ultrasound.
