Scirocco, the urban cultural seaside hub, takes home in the Spark Business District of Milan Santa Giulia. A hybrid space of over 500 m2 dedicated to cultural production open to the whole city, which will host a rich schedule of events, ranging from culture to music to sport. The new space is the result of a collaboration between Lendlease and the artistic and cultural production centre.

The Scirocco hub will be located specifically inside Spark 3, one of the buildings which, together with Spark 1 and Spark 2 and the Sky Italia HQ, constitute the Spark Business District, located in the southern area of Milan Santa Giulia . This is a district managed by Lendlease Italy Sgr. The heart of the project will be a large urban park, around which some important public functions and services for people and businesses will be developed.

“This collaboration – says Claudia Imparato, Head of Fund & Asset Management at Lendlease Italy Sgr – represents a fundamental step for the future of the local community. The Scirocco hub will not only be a space for artistic production and retail, but a meeting point for residents, a place where culture, music and sport will come together to build a strong sense of belonging and connection. Together, we are laying the foundations for a more united and dynamic Milano Santa Giulia, a place to promote inclusion and social cohesion.”

“Scirocco – adds Andrea Capaldi, co-founder and artistic director of mare culturale urbano – will put the community that already lives in the neighborhood and progressively all the new inhabitants who will arrive at the center of its program. We want to be a social and cultural stronghold, an open and inclusive square for people of all ages, an ideal space where people can feel good together, a place of refreshment. Also with Scirocco we will activate training and job placement paths dedicated to young people in the area in professions related to food and beverage. We are very honored to be able to bring the experience of mare culturale urbano to the service of the development of an important part of the city of Milan alongside a leading partner like Lendlease.”
