The 2024 administrative elections have also left quite strong consequences on the local political landscape. They pop up here and there, even very harsh comments, claims, the classic “I told you so”, the hindsight with which we can all come to terms and always be right. What is certain is that it was a very long period of poisons, allegations, accusations, double games to obtain seats and more; the classic cow market. On all this, we receive and publish a comment from Claudio Ticci, former municipal councilor who did not take the field in this battle.

The citizens certainly lost (perhaps the opportunity) because whoever is preparing to administer Borgo San Lorenzo today was chosen by only a small % of voters. Candidate Becchi lost. Now we will see if on the other side of the hemicycle they will be capable of making opposition beyond ideologies.

Leonardo Romagnoli’s coalition wins and with him the “non-residents” and the PD of the PRIMARIES win. Prepared and pragmatic people capable of channeling the dissent of recent years. Often issues raised by others but cleverly exploited for personal and/or electoral purposes.

If candidate Penni’s coalition emerges defeated in the first round, it must be said that she was a winner in her capacity to attract 20% of the votes. You will start from there for a constructive and proactive opposition.

On the CDX I think it is clear that personal interests matter more than those of the community. And I’m sorry to witness the “night of the long knives” of those who tried to destroy and not build. Real reversals and sudden changes of opinion on the old administration, without any coherence. Instead of exiting the scene on tiptoe, they emerge badly if not worse. Rather than CDX voters, I would define them as real “demolishers” of common sense. Free to do so.

In any case, for the good of Borgo San Lorenzo and its hamlets, you will find me, as a citizen, always available (to everyone) for matters of competence.

Best wishes to the Mayor and the new Council.
Thanks to all the candidates. Because it’s easy to talk now but they put their face on it.
