3,000 plants planted a Uta and another 1,000 planted in Olbia, for a total of 6 hectares cultivated with native species in the Sardinian territory. These are the numbers of “phase 2” of the project in favor of reforestation in Sardinia Ichnusa, Legambiente and AzzeroCO2 work together after the fires which, over the years, have affected some of the most beautiful and green areas of the island.

Announced in 2022 and officially started in 2023 with the planting of 4,000 plants between Scano di Montiferro and Sinnai, the “Our commitment” project adds another piece in its journey which in total aims at planting and maintenance of 10 thousand plants in 3 years in 6 areas of Sardinia affected by fires or hydrogeological disruptions. Although data indicates that fires on the island were down 46% of forested area destroyed and 40% of non-forested area in 2023, everyone is still thinking of the large fires – and resulting forest destruction – of 2021 and of previous years.

And it is precisely to try to preserve the forested heritage of Sardinia and in an attempt to bring it back to its ancient splendor, that the Brewery Ichnusa has taken to the field to once again make a concrete contribution to the territory. Thanks to high-profile partners, such as AzzeroCO2 And Legambiente, who conceived and promoted this initiative, the Brewery has Mosaico Verde was “brought” to Sardinia for the first time, inserting the Island into the map of the largest national campaign for the forestation of urban and extra-urban areas and the protection of forests.
