The event organized by the Social Radio Mamma I’m going out for a walk was an in-depth analysis of travel, its dimensions and discovery through a dialogue with the travel blogger and travel creator Francesco Morelli, aka Wanderlust Frenky, and the Ligurian traveler-photographer Cori Traversaro.
A photographic exhibition and the presentation of the book “Never stop Dreaming” were the two elements that captured the interest of many young locals and tourists, enhancing the initiative.
In the early afternoon, in the belvedere garden, a photographic exhibition was set up with the shots that the photographer Cori Traversaro took around the world. «I like to capture these moments, especially to talk about cultures distant from ours. At first I took quick shots without being noticed. Then, with dialogue, you find increasingly interesting subjects who want and let themselves be told” said Cori Traversaro.
Later, in the early evening and in the same rooms of the exhibition, the travel blogger Francesco Morelli, aka Wanderlust Frenky, presented his book, Never stop Dreaming. «I used to travel a lot even before. But during Covid, by stopping my life and detaching myself from my work, I realized that I was no longer happy with what I had created for myself. First I did the Camino de Santiago, during the summer of 2020; then, when there was talk of a second wave, I took a flight to Fuerteventura, in the Canary Islands. I didn’t know how long I would stay – explained Francesco Morelli – in the end, it was six months. But they’ve been around ever since. I don’t have a house or a car. I live nomadically and talk about my travels through social media. In the book I tried to describe the sensations that led me to this.”
A meeting, therefore, on the journey, internal and real, which leads us to feel good and to live the world openly, through encounters with other cultures and peoples with habits and customs different from ours. This helps every traveler put the world back into perspective.
