Tourism in Calabria: Ryanair wins the maxi contract worth 47 million euros

Ryanair, TBWA/Italia, East Media, Pomilio Blumm and Energent have won the Calabria Region tender for digital tourism marketing services “Destinazione Calabria” for a total of 47 million Euros, excluding VAT, for a total of 3 years.

Ryanair was ranked first for all 4 Lots.

EasyJet, which had only participated in Lot 1, was excluded for not having reached the minimum technical score threshold.

The Calabria Region continues its commitment to rewrite the narrative of the territory and to increase tourism, an objective that aligns perfectly with the agreement signed with Ryanair to increase flights at Reggio Calabria airport.

The project has a well-defined quantitative goal: to increase passenger traffic in Calabrian airports by 10% within three years.

According to the rules of the announcement, the 1st place winner may be awarded specific contracts up to a maximum estimated amount of 65% of the estimated amount of the Lot. So a Ryanair they can go up to 30,550,000 Euros.
