Fatal accident on the E45 in Lidarno, body shop worker hit while providing assistance
Another death on the E45 near Lidarno in the direction of Cesena. A body shop mechanic from a well-known company in Bastia Umbra died while helping a broken-down vehicle. The tragedy occurred near the service area around 11:00 on June 26. From what we have learned, it seems that the man was hit by a truck. Anas operators, the traffic police, the fire brigade and the 118 medical vehicles were on site. Everything was attempted to save the body shop mechanic, but every attempt was in vain.
A tragic accident occurred on the morning of June 26th on the E45, near Lidarno, towards Cesena. A body shop worker from a well-known company in Bastia Umbra lost his life while providing assistance to a broken-down vehicle. The tragedy occurred near the service area around 11am, when the man was hit by a truck.
The body shop worker had stopped to help a motorist in difficulty. However, during the rescue operations, he was hit by an oncoming heavy vehicle. The exact circumstances of the accident are still being investigated, but it appears that the man was on the road at the time of the impact.
Immediately after the accident, Anas operators, the traffic police, the firefighters and the 118 medical vehicles intervened on the scene. Despite the rapid rescue and efforts of the medical staff, every attempt to save the body shop worker’s life was unsuccessful. it turned out to be in vain. The man died instantly due to the serious injuries he sustained.
In the meantime, the accident area has been temporarily closed to traffic to allow investigations and ensure the safety of other road users.
