“I will Always Love You. Life goes on but it will never be the same without you, I miss you every day”: Asia Argento remembers Anthony Bourdain

Theirs was love at first sight on the set of “Parts Unknown” by CNN, a strong, tormented love but also full of beautiful memories. Then the tragic epilogue with his suicide. Asia Argento he remembered on his birthday, the New York chef who committed suicide in 2018, Anthony Bourdain. An affectionate dedication on Instagram: “I will Always Love You. Life goes on but it will never be the same without you. Time doesn’t heal any wound. I miss you everyday. In my dreams I talk to you, I kiss you, you are still with me. The holidays are particularly unsustainable. Happy birthday to a higher and lighter place than this.”

And finally the quote from the 1993 film “A Life at the Top” with Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette: “Three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record: you’re so cool, you’re so cool, you ‘re so cool (three words ran through my mind endlessly, repeating like a broken record: you’re so beautiful, you’re so beautiful, you’re so beautiful)”.

The actress and the chef had been together for two years since 2016. On June 8, 2018, Bourdain committed suicide while in France on the set of the CNN series, “Secret kitchens”. Both Argento and the chef’s closest friends have never been able to give an answer as to the reason for the extreme gesture.

The gossip newspapers at the time had paparazzi’d Argento with the French journalist Hugo Clement. But the possibility of jealousy was immediately ruled out since the exchange of messages between Argento and the chef was made public in which the latter was calm on the subject: “I’m not bothered. I’m not even jealous that you were with another man. I don’t own you. You are free. As I told you, as I promised you, but you were careless, you were reckless with my heart. My life”.

The New York Times then published another exchange between the former couple on the very day the chef took his own life by hanging himself: “Is there anything I can do?” and the actress allegedly replied “Stop busting my balls”, with the chef’s response remaining at “ok”. In fact, however, Argento has always declared her closeness and her love for Bourdain in every interview and on every published occasion. The rest is just chatter.
