During the reconnaissance of the Polish Rally, Sebastien Ogier was involved in a serious accident. The investigations are ongoing.

Sebastien Ogier, eight-time world champion, was involved in a serious accident today, June 25th, during the reconnaissance of the Polish Rally. The pilot was taken by helicopter, there are other injured.
Rally Poland: Sebastien Ogier’s accident
The Polish Rally will be held from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th June and today the reconnaissance was scheduled in anticipation of the various stages of the event. As reported by Goldap.info, the tests carried out on this day were not in the public domain and the local authorities were not aware of it.
Sebastien Ogier’s Toyota GR Yaris, also with Vincent Landais on board, collided with a Ford car after 9 this morning. The pilots were testing the circuit, while on the opposite side there were residents of the municipality of Goldap. After the incident, the pilot was taken away by air ambulance, as was the woman driving the other car, while the other 2 people involved in the accident were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The dynamics of the accident are not yet clear, but the road on which the collision occurred has been blocked. The team released an official statement: “Seb and Vincent were involved in a car accident during a reconnaissance before the Poland Rally. They were taken to hospital for checks. We will provide further information in due course“.
