increases across the entire network

Summer is coming, but not good news for those who are ready to travel by car or motorbike and need to fill up. The price of the fuels, in fact, it is uphill again and as often happens with the arrival of the summer the cost at the refueling pump becomes increasingly higher. A new growth that seems ready to make us forget the declining phase of petrol and diesel prices which have given rise to hope in recent months, with Italians once again ready to face the great fuel crisis.

Summer sting on petrol and diesel

A story that repeats itself, with yet another problem at the window for the Italians. When there is a holiday atmosphere, which calls for trips out of town or even better weeks at the seaside or in the mountains, petrol stations are the most hated places. Because to leave and take long trips by car or motorbike, you necessarily need to go to get fuel.

And in response the pumps don’t help, in fact sometimes they take advantage of it by increasing costs. And the findings of June 24th are proof of this, with the cost of petrol and diesel increasing in the first weekend of summer.

Even if the temperature is not the same everywhere around the country, with the North plagued by bad weather and the South in the grip of the heat, the common denominator is the fuel prices rising again which do not help Italians to move away from cities without having to reach into their wallets even just to start their vehicles due to petrol and diesel prices.

Meanwhile, the price of oil is falling. In fact, on the morning of Monday 24 June, Brent was close to falling below the threshold of 80 dollars, specifically 80.64 with a decline of 0.11%.

When fuel costs in self mode

But how much does it cost to fill up? The Ministry of Business and Made in Italy is responsible for answering this question, with the update of prices at 8 am on 24 June 2024. According to what was reported by the usual Staffetta Quotidiana survey, the increase is being felt.

In particular:

  • gas in mode selfaverage price charged of 1,859 euros/litre (1.856 the previous survey), with the companies between 1.850 and 1.869 euros/litre (no logo 1.847);
  • diesel in mode selfaverage price charged of 1,735 euros/litre (compared to 1.727), with the different brands between 1.731 and 1.748 euros/litre (no logo 1.722).

In highway Instead:

  • gas in mode self, average price charged of 1,951 euros/litre;
  • diesel in mode self, average price charged of 1,852 euros/litre.

The price of fuel in served mode

The leap forward is also recorded, and above all, in the serviced mode where the price of petrol and diesel is often increased. In the latest survey of June 24, the average surcharge is 15 cents on petrol and 14 on diesel.

In particular:

  • gas in mode served, average price charged of 2,000 euros/litre (1.997 the previous figure), with colored systems with prices between 1.936 and 2.068 euros/litre (no logo 1.906);
