Great success in San Vito for the regional “friendship” Karate stage which took place on Sunday 23 June in the municipal gym.
In fact, dojos have arrived in the town of Sarrabus from different parts of Sardinia including Arbatax and Capoterra. Among many, the national teacher and responsible for Sardinia Giancarlo Melis (7th Dan), Gino Emanuele Melis (national teacher and regional president 6th Dan) and the masters Gianni Muntoni (6th Dan) and Fabio Caboni (5th Dan), former international referee and Italian champion in the Kata specialty.
The event was organized by Csks Sarrabus led by maestro Gian Paolo Marrocu and Tonino Piseddu with the patronage of the Municipality of San Vito.
«It was a beautiful day of sport and enrichment both for the athletes, children and adults, and for us teachers – underlined the Wkaeda regional president Gino Emanuele Melis – Sport is health, it means sweating, committing but also socializing and laughing . It is important that students train and compare themselves with athletes belonging to other dojos, this is fundamental to grow both as karateka and as people. As regional president I am very happy with the number and quality of the athletes and instructors who participated in the event. The next objective will be to organize a competition in San Vito that attracts athletes from all over the island.”
