Avezzano – Yesterday, 23 June, an event of cultural and historical importance took place in the multimedia room of the Municipality of Avezzano, organized by Deputation of Homeland History in the Abruzzi.
The event began with a welcome from the mayor of AvezzanoGiovanni Di Pangrazio.

The event saw a series of interventions focused on the history and peculiarities of the Marsican territoryattracting the attention of historians, academics and local history enthusiasts.
The speakers explored different aspects of the cultural and historical heritage of Marsica, offering new perspectives and stimulating a lively debate among the participants.

The day stood out for the in-depth analysis of significant themes which concerned, among others, “the use of civic assets in Fucino”, the historical figures of the area such as “Cesare De Lollis”, and “the evolution of healthcare and healthcare in modern Marsica”. The meeting also provided the opportunity to present research, such as that relating to the correspondence of the Acquaviva d’Aragona, thus contributing to the enrichment of local historical knowledge.
