The centre-right mayoral candidate Romito yesterday reported alleged irregularities in an electoral section. “I received a report from a polling station – he stated – in which a voter was given an already voted ballot. Even more serious, when after having opened it, he left the booth to show that on that card there was already an in hand it was posted.” Lastly, Romito further explained, “the president of the polling station refused to verbalize what happened. For this reason we have instructed our lawyers to file a formal complaint and informed the competent authorities. Digos has already intervened on site and is evaluating possible measures. We invite everyone to report any doubtful incidents inside the polling stations.”
