The Summer in Blue 2024 program was presented this morning at the tourist port-marina resort of Bisceglie, the rich program of summer events organized by the Municipal Administration in collaboration with partners such as Confcommercio Bisceglie, Teatro Pubblico Pugliese, Bisceglie Approdi, Pro Loco , Universo Salute – Opera Don Uva and many organizations active in the area.

The programme, which covers the period from June to September, offers a varied program with practically daily events which extend across the entire municipal territory: from the sea to the countryside, from the coast road to the city centre, also embracing the suburbs.
“This calendar, which is improving year after year, is an example of how our city knows how to come alive even during the summer months, offering citizens and tourists a vast range of high-quality events and appointments”, commented the Mayor. of Bisceglie, Angelantonio Angarano. “The vitality of Bisceglie represents an added value for the entire city. A warm thank you goes to all those who worked with passion and dedication to set up this beautiful and varied program. And our thanks to all those who will perform in our city, to the bookshop associations, academies, orchestras, theater companies, public and private entities involved in this splendid programme. Among the major events scheduled, the city will host three concerts of the Rush Summer Festival: Clementino on 28 June on the waterfront of via Nazario Sauro, Andrea Sannino on 15 July at the Mediterranean Theater and Massimo Ranieri on 5 August in front of the Basilica of San Giuseppe. Among the new features, still on the subject of concerts, is also Mastercek 90 Festival Edition, on 20 July at the multifunctional area in via San Martino.
The cornerstone of the summer programming will be the traditional summer events that now characterize Bisceglie in Puglia and in Italy, such as DigithOn, Libri nel Borgo Antico, 42 Gradi, Libridamare, il Borgo delle Meraviglie, the Sirene contemporary dance festival, the Sol dell’ Alba, BiComix, the en blanc dinner, the Don Uva international prize, the Night of Sighs, the Palio della Quercia, the historical re-enactment “The three Saints of Sagina”, the Blu Jazz Festival, Mayors in the kitchen, Capelli in festa, the Avis Red Night, Poetry Night at the Dolmen and many other interesting events that dot the Summer in Blue 2024 programme.
This evening the meeting with the finalists of the Premio Strega organized by the Vecchie Segherie Mastrototaro will be held, while on 10 July it will be the turn of the meeting with the finalists of the Premio Campiello organized by the Borgo Antico Association, which will also host the famous author in Bisceglie Glenn Cooper on June 24. Among the new features are also the three events by Bi Happy and Confcommercio, namely Bi Music (5, 12, 19, 26 July), Bi Cabaret (1 August) and Bi Rosè (2 August). There will be aerial dance with “Fortunati a Nascere” by Elisa Barrucchieri’s Res Extensa Company. There will be music from the Bat Province Symphony Orchestra with Alessio Giannone, alias Pinuccio, who talks about Mozart. The Bi Short short film festival is also on the bill. Confirmed among the musical events “Midsummer Notes” by the FaMiFaRe Symphonic Pop Orchestra. Space for fashion and glamor with the Miss Italia Puglia Final on 27 July.
“The variety of events scheduled is designed to satisfy all tastes, from concerts to literary festivals, including dance, theatre, cinema, art, history and traditions, fashion and craftsmanship. Various demonstrations, as always, have a supportive background. This program is the result of a synergy between the Municipality, the bodies and associations active in the area, which guarantees a cultural offer of the highest level”, underlined the Councilor for Culture, Emilia Tota.
“These events promote our city and strengthen its tourist vocation. Summer in Blue is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the beauty of Bisceglie and to attract new visitors. The program grows and is enriched from year to year, confirming the stable events and combining good news”, said Maurizio Di Pinto, Councilor for Tourism.
The Summer in Blue partners also participated in the presentation of the billboard, including Leo Carriera for Confcommercio Bisceglie, Nicola Rutigliano for Bisceglie Approdi and Alfredo Nolasco for Universo Salute – Opera Don Uva, as well as the representatives of the Associations and the organizers of the events that will help make the Bisceglie summer lively.
