The funeral of Riccardo Cella, known in the village as Ricky, the 21-year-old young man who died in the accident in Rezzoaglio which occurred in the late evening of Sunday 16 June, will take place on Saturday 22 June 2024 at 10.30 am in the church of the Holy Crocifisso in Borzonasca. Mayor Giuseppino Maschio has proclaimed a day of city mourning and ordered the closure of shops, premises and municipal offices from 10am to 12pm, with recreational and recreational activities also suspended. On Friday 21 June, however, the rosary will be held at the De Andrè theatre.
The car with Riccardo and three other boys on board had crashed into trees and then overturned on the Val d’Aveto state road, shortly after the town of Villanoce. Wide mobilization for rescue with ambulances, 118 personnel, firefighters and helicopter, but the boy died instantly and unfortunately all resuscitation attempts were in vain.
Updates also arrive on the other young people who were in the car. The 21-year-old hospitalized in San Martino hospital has awakened from the pharmacological coma, and the conditions of the other two boys who are hospitalized are also improving, one in Lavagna and one in Genoa.
