a challenge in turn in clear. Here’s which one

The last piece regarding the new Champions League on TV can be said to be settled. Sky has in fact decided that, starting from the next football season (the first of the new 2024-2027 cycle), it will broadcast a match from the top club competition clear for each roundchoosing the best among those involving only foreign teams.

For each round of the competition, on Tuesday or Wednesday, Comcast pay-TV will broadcast on TV8 the best match between those that will see foreign teams on the pitch (with the exception of the match exclusively on Prime Video, every Wednesday). The choice to “reward” its subscribers has therefore been confirmed by keeping the matches they will be involved in for a fee (on Sky and streaming on NOW). Inter, Milan, Juventus, Atalanta And Bologna.

New Champions League in clear – The choice of Europa League matches

The same goes for the UEFA Europa League. Also with regards to the second European club competition, Sky will broadcast the matches of the Italian teams (Roma and Lazio) for a fee, while it will show one match for each round on Thursday free-to-air, possibly the one with the best foreign teams.

In this way the structure of the “free” Champions League changes. Until this season, the rights to the free-to-air match belonged to Mediaset, which broadcast the best match on Tuesday with an Italian present. The Cologno Monzese TV, however, left the scene and Sky acquired the tournament exclusively, opting to offer all the Italian matches to its subscribers, and part of the tournament show free-to-air.
