“The reimbursement of 3,000 euros per family, for a total expenditure commitment of 25 million by the Tuscany Region, leads us to say that we are happy because we have now seen 16.9 million liquidated and in the process of being liquidated, and therefore at the bank transfer will arrive directly, for another 3.7 million. So we have now exceeded the threshold of 20.5 million compared to the 25 million that we have allocated“. This was announced by the President of the Tuscany Region, Eugenio Gianiduring a press conference, taking stock of the situation of the refreshments for theflood which especially affected many municipalities in the plain between Florence, Prato and Pistoia on 2 and 3 November.
“The reimbursement operation by the Tuscany Region towards flood victims with the first support of 3000 euros is concluding positively – explained Giani – Now let’s start through the questions that must be asked through the website www.regionetoscana.it/alluvione2023. The activation of the platform will take place at the beginning of next July and will lead us to distribute those 66 million allocated by the government, and of which I am the implementing Commissioner, as regards both families and businesses. Of this figure, we have around 40 million dedicated to families, the others to businesses, and in this case there will be a reimbursement threshold of 5 thousand euros for each family and 20 thousand euros for each business. Families who have already obtained 3 thousand euros from the Region can absolutely take action to obtain the 5 thousand euros that are allocated by the decree law”.
