The 22nd Agro Ericino Slalom has ended, the fourth stage of the Italian Slalom Championship and a race valid for the Sicilian Championship. The 4km track, with eleven treacherous slowdown barriers, put the competing drivers, coming from various Italian teams, to the test. The overall victory went to Emanuele Schillace on Radical sr 4 – Suzuki which set the best time. In second place was Salvatore Venanzio, another protagonist on a Radical sr 4 – Suzuki rpe. The third step of the podium was conquered by Salvatore Arresta on Gloria b5 evo – Suzuki.
Excellent performances also for the other riders in the top ten, with a fourth place for Antonio Virgilio on Radical sr 4 – Suzuki, followed by another talent like Michele Puglisi also on Radical sr 4 – Suzuki. Sixth position for Giuseppe Giametta on Gloria b5 – Suzuki ahead of Luigi Vinaccia on Osella pa 6/9 – Honda. The top ten is completed by Antonio Pio De Giorgio on Gloria b5 – Suzuki, Gaetano Rechichi on Elia avrio – Suzuki, Silvio Fiore on Radical sr 4 – Suzuki. The challenges in the various groups were also fought, with victories for Salvatore Santannera on Mini Cooper S (Racing Start Group), Carmelo Cugno on Peugeot 106 S16 (Racing Start Plus), Domenico Murino on Peugeot 106 S16 (Group N), Enrico Valenti on Peugeot 205 Rallye (Group A), Pierluigi Bono on Fiat 500 (Twin), Alfredo Giamboi on Fiat Slalom), Giuseppe Catalano on Chevy Sedan – Yamaha (E2SH), Salvatore Arresta on Gloria B5 Evo – Suzuki (E2SS/TMSS), Emanuele Schillace on Radical Sr 4 – Suzuki (E2SC).
The overall winner of the Dame group was Angelica Giamboi on Fiat X1/9 Coupe’, while the winner of the Under 23 overall classification was Giuseppe Catalano on Chevy Sedan – Yamaha. As regards historic cars, in Group HST2 Rocco Aiuto won on board a Fiat Giannini 590. Moving on to Group HST3, the first place was Gaspare Piazza in a Fiat 500. Finally, in Group HST4 Mariano Saluto excelled at the wheel of a Terrier Mkii 1150. The 22nd Agro Ericino Slalom, organized by Promoter Kinisia, with the patronage of the Municipalities of Erice and Valderice, confirms itself as one of the most awaited events and has given emotions not only to those present, but also to thousands of enthusiasts connected from all over Italy thanks to the live streaming on the Trapani Web Facebook page.
