Mission to Germany for artisan businesses in Lombardy. Meeting in Stuttgart with German colleagues on the relaunch of international cooperation for sustainability

(AGENPARL) – Rome, 19 June 2024

(AGENPARL) – Wed 19 June 2024 A delegation of eleven artisan businesses from Lombardy went to
Germany, precisely in Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg, to meet the
fellow German artisan businesses on the topic of relaunching cooperation
between states of the European Union. The businesses in the region that have
participated belong to the mechanical production sector, to that
of plant engineering and services and come from the provinces of
Milan, Pavia, Varese, Como, Cremona, Lecco and Monza Brianza.
The themes of the German mission
The mission, which is part of the services offered by the network
Enterprise Europe Network, is organized by CNA Lombardia in collaboration
with Handwerk International Baden-Württemberg, an association of micro and
German small businesses, with both organizations being part of the
EEN network.
The focus is precisely on relaunching the theme of relationships with women
companies from European member states close to Lombardy. Develop
further cross-border, transalpine cooperation, ensuring that
Europe becomes more integrated, peaceful and socially inclusive e
the growth of relations with German interlocutors becomes one
fundamental practice for achieving European cooperation between businesses
even firmer.
In this meeting internationalization joins the theme of exchange
of good practices on sustainability in two main fields: installation
of systems, especially thermal ones, on the one hand, and on the other the mechanics,
with a focus on the Automotive sector.
Lombardy drives European and Italian growth
Lombardy confirms itself as a key territory in the Italian economic heart, but
especially European. In fact, from 2019 to 2023 it is the region that has grown
more in Europe, recording a +5.5% of GDP, while the
Baden-Württemberg recorded a decline of -1% (Catalonia and Bavaria did
they stopped at +1.1% and +0.4% respectively).
Furthermore, Lombardy is the most commercially active region with
Germany: in 2023 it recorded trade of 53.8 billion euros,
more than double compared to Veneto and Emilia-Romagna, respectively with
24.6 and 18.9 billion euros.
The meetings
The eleven Italian artisan companies, together with a delegation from CNA
Lombardy led by Eleonora Rigotti, Vice President of CNA Lombardia e
President Bozzini’s delegate to international missions, by the Presidents
of CNA Produzione Mario Gualco and of CNA Installazione Impianti Mauro
Ceretti, by Stefano Binda, general secretary of CNA Lombardia, and come on
officials Mariagrazia Berardi, Paolo Panciroli, Silvia Boccetti and Gualtiero
Fiorina, visited one of the German training centers in
electrical engineering and information technology, the chamber’s training academy
of Stuttgart craftsmanship and some hydraulic, bodywork,
mechanics, as well as meeting representatives of 10 local companies and the
visit of two German companies. In one of these meetings, he was present
in connection, also Armando De Crinito, DG Economic Development of the Region
Lombardy and during the visit, the delegations shared the
concerns about the German economic stagnation, of which in these hours yes
they also point out implications for lake tourism in Lombardy.
“The dual vocational training system is simply exceptional
here in Baden – says Eleonora Rigotti, Vice President of CNA Lombardia e
President Bozzini’s delegate to international missions -. Schools
co-financed by companies, staff constantly verified and
updated, technologies immediately made available to laboratories, exams
at the Chambers of Commerce with mixed commissions between examiners
employers, trade unions and Chambers of Commerce. A sistem
public-private which defines an osmosis, a symbiosis between policies
public, education and business. In these days our delegation has
also understood how in Baden the trade associations have a
function and a responsibility to really build pieces of policy for the
competitiveness and for workforce training.”
“The heart of our mission was an immersion in
dual school/work system practiced in Baden – underlines Mauro Ceretti,
president of CNA Installazione Impianti -. A system that puts you at the center
a rigorous model of educational and technological interaction between companies and
technical-professional institutes co-financed by companies and Lander.”
“In Lombardy we must aim not only to draw inspiration from this model –
adds Mario Gualco, president of CNA Produzione -. We have a duty to
realize it seriously and tenaciously also on our territory.”
“We had the pleasure of engaging in dialogue, during our visit, with
also the General Directorate for Economic Development and the Chamber of Crafts
of Baden and the Baden artisan association – concludes Stefano Binda,
general secretary of CNA Lombardia -. A great satisfaction for us, a
contribution to building an increasingly integrated and cohesive productive Europe.”
