Fatal accident at dawn in Sestri Levante. A 29-year-old died after crashing his scooter inside the Sant’Anna tunnels. The tragedy occurred just before 6 am on Wednesday 19 June 2024. A person, passing on the street, saw the man’s body and the vehicle on the ground and called the emergency number.

The dynamics are not yet clear, but from the first investigations it appears to have been an independent accident. It will be the Carabinieri who intervened in Sestri Levante who will reconstruct what happened. There are also several cameras in the area which could be useful in understanding the dynamics. The Sant’Anna tunnels were closed for investigations, the reopening was announced around 8.45 am.

This is the second fatal accident in the province of Genoa in the space of a few days.
