There Liguria region allocate 540 thousand euros to finance interventions integration of disabled students in private schools and support theeducational offer in private nursery schools.

“With this contribution of over half a million euros we want on the one hand to guarantee the constitutional principle of freedom of educational choice and on the other to encourage the promotion of educational inclusion of students with disabilities for whom a support teacher is not provided – explains the school councilor of the Liguria region Simona Ferro. – Thanks to this intervention we give further value to the contribution that private schools provide to the education and training system of Liguria”.

Both interventions are financed pursuant to the Regional Plan for the right to study of the school and training system. In detail, the regional contribution for the inclusion of disabled students within private schools is 300 thousand euros and aims to provide support that integrates the ministerial funds allocated to this type of school.

The remaining 240 thousand euros are assigned to nursery schools with a view to implementing the integrated 0-6 system and to contribute to the increase in services that guarantee or facilitate work-family reconciliation.

This funding also includes contributions to support educational provision, the fight against social hardship, the inclusion of disabled students and foreign minors and the planning of structural emergency interventions.
