A tribute concert to Eddie Vedder, information meeting and excursions are scheduled on the Pollino. That’s when

Ready there new edition of “Pollino…I like walking” arrived now to the fourth edition, organized and coordinated by the Official Guides Association of the Pollino National Park.

This year, the event is enriched with an appointment per day on Saturday 22 June at the Catasta in Campotenese – Morano Calabro (CS)with a informative meeting to talk and discuss regarding the use of protected areas and the sustainability of the many outdoor activities practiced there.

There are two interesting interventions in the lineup:

  • “The management plans of the Natura 2000 network of the Pollino National Park” with Dr. Marchianò, official of the Pollino National Park Authority;
  • “From the point of view of birds of prey: ethology of anthropogenic disturbance of rock avifauna” with Dr. Urso, StOrCal contact person.

At 18:00 will follow the tribute concert to Eddie Vedder, from the songs of “Into the Wild” to the other great hits with Pearl Jam with ARC – Eddie Vedder Tribute [Ingresso libero].

On Sunday 23 June we will continue with the hiking proposals of the official Park guides included in the calendar.

The initiative also implemented for 2024 reiterates and insists on placing attention on the way in which the paths of the Pollino National Park area are used and in particular, on the need to regulate the flow of motor vehicles (motocross, off-road vehicles, quads, etc).

Disseminate a correct and more sustainable way to enjoy our protected natural areas.

It is also important make hikers and those who move “gently” on our routes aware that even in that case one must be aware of certain behaviors to be followed, and implement basic rules of sustainability and respect.
