Investigations are continuing into the death of Luca Pulsinelli, the 50-year-old marshal, commander of the Villetta Barrea carabinieri unit who died last Saturday following an accident on the regional road 83 Marsicana. The Sulmona court prosecutor’s office has in fact opened a case for road homicide against unknown persons, also ordering an autopsy on the body of the man who has since been transferred to the morgue of the L’Aquila hospital.
Meanwhile, the reconstruction of the accident which occurred at 8.30pm on Saturday 15 June when, on the way back to his home in San Donato Val di Comino in the province of Frosinone, the soldier, after overtaking a group of of cyclists proceeding on the right side of the road, he would suddenly lose control of his Suzuki 600 ending up against a drainage ditch wall in the area Small houses of Opi. The impact with the asphalt was too violent, so much so that the emergency medical services of Pescasseroli immediately alerted by the cyclists who witnessed the tragedy were of no avail; cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers which did not save the marshal originally from Alvino whose death was confirmed by the 118 doctors of the Sangrino hospital who arrived in support.
Motorcycle seized and a kinematic assessment to verify the conditions of the road surface, this is what was ordered by the investigators who do not exclude the hypothesis of a sudden illness that would have caused Pulsinelli to lose control of the vehicle.
