Thiago Alcantara one step away from Serie A. A free transfer that tempts many, but one club has the advantage to bring him to Italy.
The adventure in the Premier League will end this year Thiago Alcantara. In fact, the Spaniard has already said goodbye to Liverpool, and his contract expiring on 1 July 2024 will not be renewed. Now several doors will open for him, after certainly not an easy season.
This year Thiago has made just one appearance in the league, and his season has been marked by several physical problems, as well as having definitively left the technical project of – albeit departing – Klopp. The admirers but for a legend of this caliber of football there is absolutely no shortage.
In addition to the classic sirens coming from Arabia, the footballer would in fact be tempted to get back into the game in a still competitive championship, and by A league they would have already knocked on his door.
Official farewell to Liverpool
The official announcement came from the English club on May 17th, when with a statement on the club’s website Liverpool said goodbye to the Spaniard and Matip, both out of contract in 2024. Now without a team, Thiago Alcantara is 33 years old he will look around, to try to sign perhaps the last important contract of his career.
In the background there would be the Rome, who would like to convince him to come to Serie A and end his career in the capital. The Giallorossi would not want to miss out on such a free transfer move, which would bring a lot of quality but above all experience to De Rossi’s squad. The only issue at the moment would be the salary.
Thiago Alcantara: zero chance for Roma
After all, De Rossi has already demonstrated that he can deal with great champions at the end of their careers. He did it with Paredes, very well, and Thiago Alcantara he could certainly be a replacement with great level, class and international experience to spare, with still a few good seasons left in his legs.
Everything will depend on the Spaniard’s willingness to get back into the game.
