The Representative of Bavaria won the 2024 edition of the international tournament Eusalp for selections Under 16 staged in Trentino. In the final played in Tione of Trento the German team beat the 4-0 Friuli Venezia Giulia. Furthermore, it was not a one-sided match if we only consider that Bavaria took the lead in the last minute of the first half, while at the start of the second half the boys from Alessandro Tormena twice they came very close to a draw. Instead, the Bavarian double arrived.
In the final, with our team trying everything to come back, Bavaria took advantage of the spaces available to expand the score.
Bavaria in triumph, Friuli Venezia Giulia also champion of sportsmanship: in fact, they gave up on appealing and thus obtaining the victory by default as the opposing selection made 8 substitutions during the final against the maximum 7 allowed.
Alessandro Tormena underlines: “Last year we came third, this time second, who knows if next year might not be the good one. The fact remains that we preceded realities like Lombardy, Veneto And Piedmont. The boys played a great tournament, today Bavaria demonstrated that they have more fuel than us and the physical aspect was predominant as was predictable given that we were at the 4th match in 3 and a half days.”
