There Regional Council of the Lazio approved the protocol scheme for the management of the emergency response service on alarms of the educational institutions of Rome Capital thanks to the service NUE 112. The service allows you to give a concrete response to counter and prevent intrusion attempts into schools in the capital. The choice to entrust the direct management of anti-intrusion alerts in the educational institutions of Rome Capital to the NUE 112 service of the Lazio region will allow you to increase safety standards and optimize intervention times thanks to the single management of all emergency and rescue calls.
The new service management system provides for the sending of an automatic alert by the school’s surveillance system to the single response center NUE 112. Once the alert has been received, the center will be able to immediately identify the school , victim of the attempted violation, define his geographical position, the target of the rescue and, therefore, activate the competent law enforcement agencies to resolve the emergency.
The system will be operational, initially, only for the educational institutions in possession of the surveillance systems already verified by Roma Capitale and tested with the CUR NUE 112, and will then be rolled out to include all the educational institutions present in the territory.
«The phenomenon of vandalism, theft and damage to schools has taken on increasingly worrying characteristics. Intervening to prevent, creating elements capable of being a deterrent, means concretely protecting not only the structural and material aspect, but above all, every student, teacher and staff who make the school an indispensable safeguard of democracy and equity every day. social security which, as institutions, we have the duty to guarantee and defend”.
