three events with free entry

ROVIGO – Despite the uncertain weather and low temperatures, around a hundred spectators enjoyed the first evening of “Cinema around. Edizione in locanda”, the third series of cinema under the stars of the Duomo cinema, aimed at children and families. It was the first of a cycle of three events with free entry which will all be held in the park of the bishop’s seminary, in via Pascoli, 51. A strategic choice not only for the availability of a large football field and garden, but also of the Locanda della Casa, the project of Caritas and the diocese as a canteen for the poor, which on cinema evenings will be an open refreshment point for those who want to dine or have a snack.

“Cinema around” this year has the support of the CSV of Padua and Rovigo, which allows not only to offer the city the summer event born in 2022 from the Duomo cinema, but also to combine it with social and volunteering themes. Every evening, from 6.30 pm, the little ones can have fun in the seminar garden with the animators of the Duomo club. For dinner you can have a picnic on the lawn where the screening will be held, perhaps taking advantage of the Locanda. The screenings begin at 9pm (participants are asked to bring a towel, blanket or something to sit on).

UPCOMING EVENTS

The next film is Tuesday with “Le petit piaf” by Gérard Jugnot, in which the very young Nelson, an eleven-year-old living on the island of La Reunion, leaves to participate in a talent show and become a singer. At the beginning, a chat with the Family Counseling District 1 of Rovigo on the Pippi project. The third appointment is June 25th with “Yuku and the Himalayan Flower”, an animated film by Arnaud Demuynck and Rémi Durin, in which the little mouse Yuku, who lives in a castle guarded by a big cat, sets off on a journey to find the magical Himalayan flower, the only hope of saving her grandmother. Before the film, a chat with the diocesan Caritas of Adria and Rovigo.

“Cinema around” is promoted by Cinema Teatro Duomo and Zico, with the collaboration of Euganea Movie movement and this year in team with CSV of Padua and Rovigo, diocesan Caritas of Adria-Rovigo, Locanda della Casa and Duomo sports group. For all information on the festival: www.cinemaduomo.it.
