A heated argument which went on for hours through the night, with insults and threats exchanged through messagesand then the showdown, the invitation to a clarifying meeting under the house, in the Vigne Nuove area Rome. A face to face in which the 49 year old Roman employee showed up and from which he came out with a wound to the abdomen, stabbed by a 27 year old boy already known to the police and now arrested on charges of attempted murder. The screams of the two men alerted the residents of the area, who looked out and saw the two covered in blood, the 49-year-old collapsed on a chair with a hand on his hip, and immediately called 112.
The story
The 49-year-old Roman was stabbed in the abdomen in via Giovanni Pastrone on June 12, in the Vigne Nuove area of Rome. The victim was transported by 118 personnel to the Sandro Pertini hospital under code red, where he underwent surgery for a lung laceration and a left rib fracture and was hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.
The Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Monte Sacro Company of Rome have arrested, in flagrante, a 27-year-old Roman, who was already subjected to the precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the barracks for other events, seriously suspected of the crime of attempted murder against a 49 year old Roman employee.
The quarrel
The victim and the arrested man apparently had a heated argument, which went on all night, with an exchange of messagesculminating with threats by the suspect and an intimidating invitation to the victim to present himself for a clarifying meeting under his home, precisely in via Giovanni Pastrone. The screams attracted the attention of some citizens who looked out and saw the two covered in blood and in particular the injured man sitting on a chair, holding his hand on his side from where blood was coming out profusely and they alerted 112.
The carabinieri who intervened heard the 27-year-old who tried to divert the investigations, telling of a phantom robbery that the injured man had suffered at the hands of two unknown men but the careful investigations of the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Montesacro Company of Rome made it possible to ascertain that this version was unlikely as it was in contrast with the investigative findings that immediately emerged.
The tests
In the area behind the site of the wounding, hidden by a hedge, the Carabinieri found a kitchen knife with an iron handle and blade with a total size of 28 cm, on which traces of blood were clearly visible. Collected i serious circumstantial elementssupported by testimonials of people who had looked out the window, the 27-year-old, a person known both to the police force, because he was already suspected of violent conduct and other crimes, and to the residents of the neighborhood who would be intimidated by him considering him dangerous and unpredictable in his conduct, was arrested and taken to the Regina Coeli prison. The arrest was validated by the Court of Rome.
