The chef explained that he did not suffer fractures but rather grazes and a large bump on his left side: «This week I had a really bad accident while I was cycling in Connecticut. I am fine. I didn’t break any bones or suffer any serious injuries, but I’m a little bruised and look like a purple potato. I am grateful to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawerence + Memorial Hospital in New London (Connecticut) who cared for me and examined me, but above all I am grateful for my helmet that saved my life. Happy Father’s Day to all of you and don’t neglect your safety.”
