Dead in the ravine, new investigations – Teramo

TERAMO. For now the case is against unknown persons, but on the death of Giuseppe Marini the Prosecutor’s Office has ordered new investigations. The objective is to clarify the dynamics of the events that led to the death of the 77-year-old pensioner who disappeared on Monday afternoon from his home in Villa Ripa and was found on Thursday afternoon in his car which ended up in a ravine on the road to Altavilla di Montorio. It is not excluded that the Prosecutor’s Office (file of the prosecutor Davide Rosati) can order investigations on the stretch of road where the accident occurred and in particular on the torn guard rail to ascertain the regularity of the barrier torn away from the car. The man most likely died instantly, crushed in the car which overturned several times, ending its run on the embankment with the roof on the ground. And if immediate death appears certain (there will be no autopsy and the man’s funeral is scheduled for today at 4pm at Villa Ripa), the dynamics of the dramatic accident are still to be reconstructed. For the moment there are some hypotheses being examined by investigators. Among these, the most probable is that the 77-year-old may have lost control of the vehicle on a steep section of the road and that the car ended up in reverse, breaking through the guard rail with its rear part and then rolling into the embankment. without brakes and without the elderly man having managed to regain control. This reconstruction could suggest the man’s sudden illness as the cause of the loss of control of the car.(dp)
