The names of the 2024 Golden Johns have arrived. The traditional merit which on 24 June every year (since 1983), on the occasion of the patronal feast of San Giovanni Battista, is recognized to four city excellences who have particularly distinguished themselves for their work , will see its delivery ceremony in Arengario on Monday at 12, together with the Corona Ferrea prize, destined instead for a city association. The winners were selected by a special commission chaired by the mayor Paolo Pilotto, who, after the patronal Mass at 10.30 in the Cathedral, will award the honors under the porticoes of the Arengario: two are in memory of Gianni Pelli and Fulvia Antonia Tiziani, two others will go to Monsignor Silvano Provasi and Alessandro Colombo.
Gianni Pelli was an active citizen first with political commitment in his San Rocco, then as a volunteer in the Group of Voluntary Ecological Guards, of which he was coordinator until 2023.
