Three injured and road closed for a long time, in Lastra a Signa, due to a road accident that occurred before 9am yesterday morning in via di Sotto. According to initial reconstructions of the facts, it appears that a woman, driving a moving car in Via di Sotto, hit a van parked near a workshop in the area.
It is not clear how the vehicle was positioned and why the driver was unable to avoid it. The impact was notable and the presence of the body shop, the owner of the van and another person who were viewing the vehicle contributed to making the situation worse. The three people were thrown to the ground suffering injuries and bruises. Helped by some passers-by and other people present in the workshop, they were then taken by ambulance to the emergency room.
The vehicles of the Misericordia di Lastra a Signa, of the same association of Malmantile and of the Public Assistance of Signa intervened in via di Sotto, which was closed to traffic by the police to allow the rescue operations and the investigation of the accident. The road remained blocked for a long time to allow the investigations to be carried out, causing some delays to local traffic. The dynamics of the accident and its causes are being investigated by the Lastrigiana municipal police.
