The kitchen hood caught fire and the flames reached, just like a tongue of fire, all the way to the garden, causing significant burns and carbon monoxide poisoning to an elderly woman who was resting. Her wife has difficulty walking and immediately after lunch her husband accompanied her to the garden and then started cooking. When he opened the door, the kitchen was filled with smoke and fire and his first thought was to go and get his wife but he couldn’t. He called the firefighters who intervened with three teams.
